Our client is a world leader in manufacturing, marketing and distribution of high quality, innovative products. As a global company they manufacture and export on a worldwide basis. They have a requirement for an interim Export Logistics Manager based in their state-of-art factory in North East Lincolnshire.
Principal responsibilities include;
- Progressing sales orders from customer enquiry to final despatch on a worldwide basis.
- Maximising on-time delivery performance.
- Providing the key interface between sales and manufacturing functions.
- Managing the relationships with freight forwarders to ensure that all export documentation is adhered to.
- Advising Sales Managers, Agents and overseas offices of correct procedures for complex payment methods, Letters of Credit and export arrangements.
- Arranging transport for the international shipment of goods.
You will have;
- An in-depth knowledge of export shipping and letters of credit (LC).
- Expertise in INCOTERMS.
- Previous experience with SAP, MFG-PRO or another leading ERP system.
- Excellent IT skills including MS Excel and Access. Knowledge of export procedures and Letters of Credit.
This interim position is initially for 6months. We are looking for a logistics professional with a proven background in export-lead manufacturing. |
